GROUP TWO CLOSED

Hi All, Since Alex has placed the last post she has decided to hand over the reins of this group to me (for now).

Alex has emailed me all of your block preferences and details of who swapped with who and when.  Its on a spread sheet that may take me awhile to work out but I will organise a swap for you this month - hopefully later this evening.  I will also send you out invites to be able to post blocks made and sent directly onto the blog.  Alex's spreadsheet does not have your blog details on it, so if you email them to me, I will get them all up as followed blogs so all of the existing members of group one can follow you too.

Rather than run two groups I will amalgamate this group into group one from December onwards so you will all get to meet lots of lovely new bloggy quilting ladies in the larger group one.

I cant say yet whether or not Alex will be back running group two or if this will be a permanent merger.
But what I can say is WELCOME TO GROUP ONE.  and thank you for your patience and support.

Hi ladies

Very sorry for the lack of craftiness.  Everyday I keep meaning to email out partners etc and everyday I feel worse and worse.

The good news is i have found a specialist who can help me.  Ive had various tests over the past few weeks and go into hospital for more tests today.

Im about to allocate partners and hope once my results come back and I can start treament, everything will be well.

Im really sorry once again and thanks for your patience.

I am happy to step in - note from Sue founder of the group.

Hi Ladies, some of you may not know me , my name is Sue and I started up quilting block swaps Australia in April 2010.  I also started up Christmas block swaps Australia and the lovely Crafty pugs took over running that for me as the main group got quite large.  (I also run 6 inch block swaps Australia).

As the group grew really fast and I was struggling to keep up so we capped the numbers at 50 and formed quilting block swaps Australia 2 which Alex offered to run.  I have not heard from Alex, but reading recent posts it seems that the group is suffering with her not being well.

I can manage to add new members from this group into group one so if you are interesting in jumping over send me an email  to quiltingblocksaustralia@hotmail.com. and I will add you to this groups list.  I will send Alex an email shortly and let her know that I have done this, but as the founder I would rather have happy members than see the group suffer.

If you are interested in jumping over (either permanently or temporarily) I  will need to know your block choice (please give me 2 options where possible), colour choices, blog address if you have one and your snail mail posting address.

I look forward to welcoming you to the Mother group if you wish to transfer , and perhaps in time when Alex is up to it we can resume this group and you can hop back.

Firstly, apologies for my absence.  I'm sure I have lots of emails to catch up on and will attend to them tomorrow.

I continue to have health problems and am no closer to a diagnosis.  I am due to see a new specialist in a few weeks time and am hoping for some answers and improvement which is why I'm still keeping the group open.

I know I'm not able to give it everything it deserves at the moment but I'm hopeful that will change so thank you everyone for your patience and please continue to bear with me.

I'll send out blocks I owe and get onto my emails and swap partners bit by bit and hopefully done by the end of the week.

Hi everyone!

Spring is here for us Aussies! And a very welcome relief from winter it is too!

My whole family has been ill with the flu for over 3 weeks.  DH even managed to burst an eardrum.

Anyway I'm back on deck.  My pre-existing nose issues really didn't appreciate a flu but my ENT is back at the end of the month.

We've had 3 members sit out from swapping for the next little while and hopefully a new member joining us.

I've readjusted my spreadsheets to reflect this and will email out partners today and my aug partners will have their blocks going out this week.

That's all for now so if you haven't received your partner email by tomorrow please let me know.

New Member and Randomness...

Hi all

I apologise for any difficulties in tracking me down these past few months.  I've never had so much sickness in such a period in my life!

Finally after several different types of antibiotics my nose is better and I can concentrate on crafting something nicer than colonies of bacteria.  blech!

On a more exciting note, please join me in welcoming Michell from New Zealand who joined us this month!

I'll fix up lists etc soon.  I know the blog needs a bit of tidying up.

If your personal blogs are not listed in the sidebar, please let me know and I'll add them...also some people are having problems posting on this blog or never received their invitiations so if this includes you please let me know about this as well.

Sometimes deleting and re-sending the invite is all it takes to fix the problem.

Hopefully I'll be back in full force with my crafty mojo blazing soon...as soon as I finish the last of these toxic antibiotics (apparently they kill anthrax...who knew??!!).

Still Alive!

Hi Everyone

Sorry I haven't been around much.  I had my nose and sinus surgery about 3.5 weeks ago and all was going well for a while but now I have a postoperative infection which doesn't seem to be responding to the antibiotics!!

I haven't forgotten about you all,  I'll email swap partners for July sometime today and catch up on my emails.

June Partners and update

Hi swappers

I'm in the process of sending you your partner details for June.

It's taken a few days longer than I expected since we've had issues with a couple of members and I've needed to re-arrange partners.

Please let me know if you don't receive an email in the next 24 hours.

I've been a bit MIA again of late for which I apologize but I got secondary pneumonia because of my whooping cough.

I'm going into hospital on Tues (7th June) to get my nose and sinuses fixed which should improve my health enormously in the long run.  I'll (hopefully) have computer access and will post updates on my personal blog.

Please contact your partners once you get their details and confirm the addresses and block preferences are all up-to-date.

This my Block for Lynette in Queensland. It was finished and posted on Friday, I let Lynette know that was finished but life got in the way until now to post a picture and blog about it. Here is a sneek peek ant Kym's block she wanted a log cabin with a orange centre and purple with yellow. So here it is I hope you like it, I must say it was a unusual colour combination to make but very effective, cant wait to see the finished quilt. *hugs* sue

Firstly thank you so much for your patience and well wishes.  I'm slowly starting to feel better but might still have this stupid cough for months!!

I've emailed you your partners for May.  This is the first month we haven't had any new members!

I've found sometimes the emails (which are send from blogger not me) don't always get through or end up in the spam folders!
